2nd ANNUAL CHANUTE CHURCH CHILI CHALLENGE Will take place in the Good News Center at First Baptist Church on Friday, Novmeber 16th from 4:30 - 7:00 PM. This is not a chili supper - it is a chili tasting and competition. Here's how it will work ... Each church will have a 'team' making chili. From 4:30 - 7:00 the doors are open for the 'tasting'. Tickets will be purchased at the door for $.50 and will entitle the bearer to one 'taste' of the chili of their choice. There will be a minimum purchase of 4 tickets ($2.00) for adults and 2 tickets ($1.00) for children 10 and under. At each table you will find a money jar. Cast your vote by placing money in the jar. Tickets will not count as votes - only cold, hard cash will be counted as a vote. Ballot stuffing will be encouraged! The team with the most money ... WINS bragging rights ... the money will go to support the work of Faith House. This will be a fun ecumenical way to raise some money for this very important ministry in our community.
ALL CHURCH THANKSGIVING SUPPER Will be held on Sunday, November 18th beginning at 5:30 PM in the Good News Center. The Deacon's will be preparing Turkey, Dressing, Potatoes and Gravy, Rolls and drinks provided. You bring a side dish (or two) to go with the basics. Entertainment will be the Praise Team from Ottawa University. Join us!
